Fall arrived early at Threads + Footloose & Fancy

With the official start of fall still a couple of weeks out, we've been thinking that if Starbucks can roll out its fall menu in August, why can't you start decking out your wardrobe with cozy layers and home autumn scents? Fall arrived early at Threads. Here's a list of 5 of our fall favorites now available in-store and online!

1. Birkenstock

Let’s talk about the shoe that has taken the internet by storm, the Birkenstock Boston, specifically, the Taupe Suede Boston. It seems like as soon as we restock these guys, BOOM! They’re sold out again. Get excited because they are officially back in stock here at Threads. We don’t see this “trend” dying anytime soon, so get them while you can.

Now, you may be wondering how to kick it up a notch if you already own the classic Taupe Suede Boston or want to deviate from the trend. If that’s you, we recommend checking out the Boston Braid. These shoes are a twist on the classic. Literally. They feature a leather braid that runs across the top of the shoe adding some elegance to it. The Boston Braid is available in three colors. Go for the Taupe Suede if you want a more neutral, everyday shoe. If you’re feeling bold, you may want to give the Mink Suede or even Elemental Blue a try.

Papillio by Birkenstock boosts the Boston up a level with the Boston Chunky. This shoe has the classic look and feel of Birkenstock Boston but features a chunky, statement platform. The Boston Chunky is offered in two colorways: black with a black chunky sole and warm sand suede with a white chunky sole.

When I tell you these are the softest pieces of clothing I have ever worn, I mean it. They are perfect for layering over sweaters as the temperatures dip. These tops NEED to make an appearance at your next pumpkin patch or apple-picking trip. 

Calling all my fun pant girlies! The Free Fall and Be Free Cord Pants from Billabong are made for you. New colors arrived for fall and we think you're going to love them. The Be Free Pant in the color Blackberry is a muted magenta and is just perfect for fall. For a more subtle look, go for the Free Fall Pant in color Kona. To make a statement, try the Free Fall Pant in the color Papaya. Billabong denim also arrived and I’m personally loving the Aaliyah Jean in Medium Denim and Alda Blue. These jeans are a great for our long-leg girls!

5. Toad & Co

No one does fall quite like Toad & Company. Just take the Bitterroot Pullover for example, waffle knit sweaters are quickly becoming a fall essential for many. These sweaters provide both visual appeal and warmth. Made with recycled polyester and a hint of stretch, this pullover breathes, holds its shape, and looks polished even when you’re wearing it every day of the week. We carry the Bitterroot Pullover in Olive and Twine, both very subtle, neutral, fall colors.

Time for turtlenecks! Toad & Company’s Maisey Longsleeve T-neck work on their own or a fun base layer. This shirt has a classic cotton tee fit and comes in 3 colors this season.
